Statistical perspectives establish that there will be 7200 positions to be filled in this region between 2006-2010. As a result of the aging population and the need to fill these postions, Job-Quebec has had to intervene.

According to the employment statistics for 2008, the number of persons in jobs would be increased by 5400 between August 2007 and 2008. As for the last few months, the number of jobs in the region has had a tendancy to rise for the last 10 years.  Moreover, the number of jobs has never been so high for a month of August for the last 20 years!
